How do you know if you D/L the 1.27b patch?

All the patches I have D/L say create date
of FEB 20.. I thought someone on this
board said make sure the file is dated
Feb 21??? Can anyone please give
me a link that they know is the correct patch.

The correct patch has 4 items lised in the history.txt file under the 1.27 heading. If you have installed the 1.27a, you will have to reinstall SEIV from the CD in order to install the latest patch.

Does the AI build ships in anything other than a high tech game?

If they can build ships you've got the good patch if not then you don't
