Yes, SE:IV is so obscure in France... I don't even believe any of our magazines spoke of that jewel. They must have been too busy praising MOO3.
Erh, it is a thread for "French speaking players", but does that mean we actually have to speak that language? *Runs away whistling* |

As in the rest of the world....until they started playing it.Quote:

Problem for SE4 : it is web-buy only game in a non EU country. And from a company that made very little if no advertising for it in France.

So all french players here learned of it by accident/forum lurking....or the MOO3 disaster.

What do you mean by "in a non EU country"? Shouldn't it be in a EU country? Or in a non English-speaking country? Sorry if I don't make much sense, but I have been quite puzzled by this part.Quote:

Yes, knowning SE:IV when you are living in France is a matter of sheer luck, random lurking, or visiting sites dedicated to games not widely known. And it is next to impossible when you don't really pay any interest to X4 games.

Erh, Nark, thanks for the offer but... I hate cheese with a passion, so you should not be speaking of that evil aloud. But I might be interested in hammers though, if I was to launch my campaign against cheese... I will have to think over it.

If you have a problem with something bough from a EU country, you can have hope to get your money back, and you have quite a strong legislation protecting the customer.Quote:

Or more exactly, most people think so, as reality is quite different.

More, it is easier to compare prices within EU, and you don't have bank commissions to buy something in US$.

edited to add this point :

don't think about the cheese, just think about the wine you'll drink with it.Quote:
