You mean they stop moving when their engines are gone, rather than continuing along their Last vector? Yeah, that would be kinda counter-intuitive... but I guess it copies SE4 physics rather well...Quote:

platehead: 'why do you move?'aristoped: 'why, because the engines make you move.'
platehead: 'so, naturally, what happens when you don't have any engines?'
 aristoped: 'you don't move!'

and i'm pretty sure you can all guess who platehead and aristoped are brainless mangling's of.

no insult to MM or Aaron hall intended. when your making a game, you have to make it fun, in a time frame, within a budget and realistic, in that order.

I'm in a hot dogfight with several ships and I am chasing a heavily damaged cruiser. Suddenly a huge battleship closes in and I break off pursuit by taking a hard right... and promptly run off the system grid.
By the time I return to the grid and flee, I am now more heavily damaged then my prey!

hmmm,.. it sounds like a diluted form of strictnine mixed with gellatine. "My ship is the Condor. You killed my speed, prepare to die!".

and,.. "omg, It's full of stars!"

 Cheers!

Ok, I can understand the FEDS (TCN) space station opening fire when you recover illegal items.
But, I had just finished defending a pirate base. I recovered a contraband cargo, and wouldn't you know it, the pirate space station nailed me good.
Fortunitly I had enough time to eject the cargo.

Of course, they stop firing when the cargo is ejected. No memory at all :<))

				 Re: Funny Starfury Moments
I just get my copy today, early, and begin to play a nice game of Star Fury. I play most of the day and through most of the missions. I am proud of the game as I really enjoy it so I decide to show it off to my twin nephews. Both are 6 and still strung out from Halloween.
They eeeww and oww at the game and generally are very excited. They ask if they can play it and I say after I am done. We all go out side to enjoy the nice cold weather and I become distracted working on my Quad. I ripped the front fender off the other day down at sandlake and was replacing the bracket when I realized that both of my nephews were AOL. I know instantly where they are. I run for the house...... I run down the hall..... I enter the room just in time to see my ship crash into a planet. GAME OVER..........

I should have saved it, but we all know why I didn't; "Ah nothing will happen while I am away."
      Such is life
