				 Protectorate treaty bug?
 I proposed a protectorate treaty with a computer empire and they accepted. I notice on the turn where they accepted that my storage was at 0 points even though I am producing a surplus. This has happened on the Last two turns, both where protectorate treaties are accepted by the computer player.
 Does anyone know if the zero storage is a result of the treaty?

 I'm not sure, but i think that they got the better end of the protectorate deal. Check under the Empires button, under the tariffs button and make sure you aren't on the paying end of the treaty instead of the recieving end of it. |

 You have to demand that they offer the protectorate to you
Sounds like they just got a big boost, and won't intimidated by you for a while.

 I double checked and I am definitely protecting them. There must be something else going on. I have had positive net resources since the game started (up to turn 10 now). I was building storage until the computer empire accepted the treaty. This is also the first PBEM game I have played with a human. Is there anyway he could be cheating?

 Yes, the problem is due to the protectorate treaty not to other players cheating. If you cancel the treaty, you'll get correct display of your resources. The problem may occur with subjugation as well. Your storage hasn't gone away and neither have the stored resources, they're just not displaying correctly.
 I had this problem a while back and posted about it. Didn't report it to MM though.

				 Re: Protectorate treaty bug?
 Diddn't MM fixed this in a previous patch?
 ------------------
 Assume you have a 1kg squirrel
 E=mc^2
 E=1kg(3x10^8m/s)^2=9x10^16J
 which, if I'm not mistaken, is equivilent to roughly a 50 megaton nuclear bomb.
 Fear the squirrel.
