Component editor
Has anyone been able to get this to function in WinXP or is there a better/newer option?

I use wordpad... works every time, except when the file gets over a couple megs in size

Wordpad? You need to find a better text editor.  Plenty of free ones out there. |

You might try MetaPad. It's free and very robust.

What exactly is this tool you call "Component Editor" ? I only know the "SE 4 MODDER"

I use Editplus, but it is not free (25 dollars or something) and I haven't really mucked around with others (such as Metapad)... I don't really have a recommendation. |

I use PSPad with a syntax hilighting for SE IV. Good editor and free. |
