Tim has said in the past that some of those magazines wouldn't even do a review of SEIV (Or many other Shrapnel games for that matter) because they didn't have a box and weren't sold in a store.

 | Oh that has to be one of the crappiest excuses I have ever heard. I will bet that if Tim had offered them a grand or two they would have reviewed the game.

Tim if you read this, please post the name of those magazines so the rest of us will not make the mistake of buying them.

				 Re: Proof Positive!
Maybe no one sent them a free copy of SEIV? If they are run by money (thatīs obvious) they would not buy games (spending money) but maybe do at least a small review if they received a free copy of the game...
The way the review in gamespot is made looks like they reviewed the Demo (free) and not the full game...

or maybe they canīt stop playing the latest FPS to play a good turn-based strategy game...

				 Re: Proof Positive!
I'm really starting to think that someone needs to do a proper preview/review (type of that we are talking about that is) site dedicated to RTS and TBS games as they are the most under advertised genres (especially TBS) in the industry
Hell, I need a new project with all my current ones now finished, perhaps that could be it

 | Me Tim? Or different Tim? I don't remember saying that... That being said, I know PC Gamer (US) reviewed both SE4 (80%) and SE4:Gold (89%) and even Starfury (82%). Which is why I love those guys.

				 Re: Proof Positive!
Oh, that Tim. Clarity would be helpful. There aren't many Tims so whenever we hear our name we automatically assume we are the Tim in question. Still:
[SE4 Gold Review]
http://www.pcgamer.com/reviews/archi...02-12-31t.html
[Starfury Review]
http://www.pcgamer.com/reviews/archi...04-02-16o.html
I think it's pretty cool that one man (with a weeny bit of help) can create games that earn high marks in a magazine that normally reivews games with multi-million dollar budgets, designed by dozens of programmers and artists and distributed by massive publishers backed by marketing departments with bigger budgets per annum than Malfador has had in it's existence. Sweet, no?
