Heh...
Rather than being about Takei being gay I guess the late-night TV jokes will be about how Trekkers didn't even notice that he didn't ever have girlfriends or a wife...  |

Back in 84/85 he admitted that he was gay. Back then it came as somewhat of a shock. Now, now he is just a pathetic old dude trying to capitolize on the publicity of his "official" annocement, (not that it has been confirmed) to benefit his new role.
At least he doesn't live at home with his mommy, he isn't fat and balding, and he doesn't obsess over every finite detail of every episode of star trek.
And for the record, its not SULU who is gay, the character has a daughter and a wife, it is the Actor George T. who is preportedly gay. Again not officially confirmed this time, but we'll see.

Speaking of Uranus, did you know that it and Neptune aren't really gas giants? I read in a recent issue of Discover that they're really made of ice and frozen methane!
