How to construct a random movement system device
Anyone know if there's a way to mod a component, facility, hull, or anything else buildable during the game that makes the current system have random ship movement? |

Since this is a property of the system itself, I don't know that it would work as a component. Should be easy to test it out though. I wouldn't bother with the facility. |

 Isn't that 'improbability drive'?

Re: How to construct a random movement system devi
I've tried it out on a facility and on a component but it doesn't work. According to the Modding 101 guide, the System - Random Movement ability is only valid in SystemTypes.txt. Is there some sort of hack or workaraound so you can actually create that ability during the game?
Is there a way to mod a nubula creator so it only creates a nebula that has random movement instead of sight obscuration?

No, you can't ever add abilities to a system during a game. All SM creation processes are essentially beyond the modder's control; you can't specify the type of abilities that your new creation will have. |

It would have been really a modding boom if Aaron had made all abilities work in all areas with the option to turn them on or use them as dummy abilities like we currently do.
Oh well, a request for SE VI.
