				 Editing ORBAT??
I have the intentions of giving RED, a T-72 that simulate a OCCIDENTAL update, so it will have slightly better armor and a lot better FC, but need to know If I can copy a unit of the RED Orbat, edit and save it, so I don't lose the unedited one.I will explain, in my scenarios, I want to have a country, based in RED, with slightly modernized T-72 tanks, and a country, also based in red, with the default T-72 tanks. Is that possible??
 Thank's

 | If you change the red OOB with Mobhack then you have altered the stock OOB, and so will have to distribute that with your scenario as well. Otherwise it will be unplayable. If you go that route, remember to tell them to install it to a folder in the custom OOBS and to only install it when playing the scenario, and to remember to load the default red oob if needed at other times (e.g. PBEM).

You probably want to try the scenario editor to change the data of one T-72, and then use the clone facility to change any others. (I cannot recall if cloning modified units is available in the non-CD version though, should you have that).

Cheers
Andy

				 Re: Editing ORBAT??
If you change the OOB then buy the revised units, then re-instal the original oob the editing you did will be lost when you restart the sceanrio
However, if you edit those in the game using the "Modify the curret units data" button then "clone" those changes you will be able to do what you want. The units in "Red-A" with the modified T72's will accept cloning of those new numbers into all that sides tanks OF THAT TYPE and the "Red-B" tanks of the same type will be unaffected

				 Re: Editing ORBAT??
I just looked at the tank formations in the Red OOB and there is one minor error that has large residual effects. If you make this change to the red OOB it will match the change I will be making to it for the next release AND it will make building your scenario easier
1] Open up the red OOB with MOBHack and go to unit 540 (T-34/76 M1943 )

2] COPY that unit unaltered using the "copy to paste buffer" button ( just below "help" )

3]After you have copied the unit into the save buffer CHANGE the unit class of that unit in slot 540 from unit class 12 ( light tank ) to unit class 59 ( MBT ) then SAVE that change with the red check mark button

4} Go to slot 158. It is currently empty. PASTE the saved version of that T-34/76 M1943 ( light tank ) into slot 158 then SAVE that change with the red check mark button

5] Press the "load/Save" tab and SAVE all of those changes permanently

This will make "tank companies" full of real tanks instead of being 90% light tanks

No, country name, flag(s) (and dates for flag changes - Afghanistan has 12 or so), battle locations etc are fixed in code.
 Cheers
