Modding AI
Hello All,
I following the instructions given by capnq and have converted all of the AI's in my current game to gold. I am now wondering which lines are needed for the AI's to build and use drones. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm glad you found the instructions useful.
Getting the AI to use Drones involves changes to the Research, DesignCreation, and Strategies files, which I haven't even tried yet. The more experienced modders will have to help with that.

Take the Torons from the TDM-ModPack and have a search for "drone". You will find all the needed lines this way. If you have a specific question about a line, just post here. Sorry, I'm short of time at the moment.

You would need to add a entry to research drones in the AI_Research file so that the AI will research the appropriate tech. Add a drone attack strategy to the AI_Strategy file, there should already be one in the default AI_Stragegy files, scroll down to the bottom and check the Last stategy. Add drone and possibly drone carrier entries to the AI_DesignCreation file, once again, check the Last three entries on the default AI_DesignCreation file. Finally, add build ques for Anti-Planet Drones, Anti-Ship Drones, and Drone Carriers to the AI_ConstructVehicle file.
Like said, check the TDM Torons, and you can also check the Orks the TDM Krill for examples.
