				 ATF/Star & Crescent
Long time user of WinSPMBt, just downloaded the demos of ATF and Star & Crescent (I need to decide on one to purchase). I know a little about making paths, and in SPMBT I can use the terrain to advantage. But in the demos of ATF and Star & Crescent, I have problems using the terrain properly to mask my approach, even using the two map views and the LOS button...any suggestions? |

If you right-click as you move/place nodes, it will bring up the LOS fan. This saves you from switching constantly back between path planning and LOS. It should help you fine-tune your routes. |

How about in AATF? does it work that way too? In the manual it say, something like pressing the spacebar, but that only work when you are positioning your units for the first time in the mission. not during path planning. never tried the right click yet.. will give it a try. thanks for the tip |

As far as I know, the spacebar works exactly the same when placing or moving nodes in AATF. If it is not, let me know. You may have ID'd a bug. |

I confirm the spacebar does not work. It only works during the setup phase. after the clock started, the spacebar no longer work to see the LOS fan. |

 | I just tried that in Star & Crescent, and it doesn't work that way; what I get is the "path triangle" changing from green to red (move/stop)or vice versa.
Right clicking while trying to drag the unit into place doesn't do anything either.
What am I doing wrong here? |

In TSATC and all of the ATF Engine games (NOT anything played using the AATF Engine), if you right click WHILE HOLDING DOWN the left button and dragging something (a vehicle, platoon, company, or node) you will get an LOS fan for the spot of the right click. |

 | NOPE, still doesn't work....neither in the Demo of Star & Crescent, nor in the full program of Raging Tiger (I know, after asking about the other programs, I ended up with purchasing RT. It's because I frequently use Falcon 4 (combat flight sim) which takes place in Korea, and now I can make changes to the Falcon airwar scenarios based on how I do in ground combat of RT...at least, that's the plan.)

Anyway, let me see if I have this straight...hold down left button, right click while dragging an object....NOPE, it drags fine, but no LOS appears. Do I need some kind of special setting for my mouse buttons? |

				 Re: ATF/Star & Crescent
on AATF, I would like to appologize to Patrick. I tested again on using the LOS fan, it does works using the spacebar, it's just that i have to use the 'hand' tool then I can see the LOS fan. so i had to put a waypoint first, then use the 'hand' tool to drag the waypoint and use the LOS fan to fine tune the path.
I was hoping I could already use the LOS fan using spacebar when putting the waypoint. So I guess it's not a bug, I just didnt do it correctly. Then again, not very convenient to use from a user point of view (me).

All in all thank you for a great game. I hope it will get better in the future with future games
