Ritual of Rebirth on a Chayot
During one of my multiplayer games I made discovery concerning chayots. If you ritual of rebirth one they get all their magic paths in one form, and become a level 8 priest! Is this supposed to happen? |

It should be a level 8 priest in all its forms.
If ritual of rebirthed, it may just lose its special tags of Magic -4 and X-path +4. It has all 4 paths to begin with, and the different forms subtract 4 from all paths (including holy), while adding in the particular forms path.

So I guess it makes sense, game-mechanic wise. I don't know why they wouldnt just give each form 4 in their path instead of giving all 4 all the time and then removing them.

Oh, you really need to make him your Prophet, so he gets H11. Any time you can turn it up to 11, it's gotta be good. I wonder if you'll hit yourself by accident if you try to cast Banishment.

I believe you can hit yourself, but I think it has the enemy only mask. |

Does it? I think I've seen priests banishing their own undead while aiming for the enemy. |

Wouldn't prophetizing him only turn him up to 9?

 Doesn't have enemy only mask.
I don't think they had any choice but to go (+4 x -4 all) for each of the forms. A S4 guy who shapechanges into a D4 guy won't end up with just D4. You have to do it using boosts (which can be to specific paths) and an overall malus (which can only be overall iirc, specific ones don't work properly).

I would consider the use of this to be an exploit. I'm sure Foodstamp, K and others would consider it to be a balancing part of the game which if removed due to people whining, would diminish their enjoyment.

Vaguely related Chayot question: Is a Chayot vulnerable to Magic Duel in all forms? If so, what astral level is it treated as? |

What is a chayot? I am assuming this is a unique summon for one of the nations. |
