Having a problem updating a patch

I'm trying to install the 10b patch. I go through the whole process, it says it was installed. But when I start the game, it still shows the version being 10. Is it supposed to show the version as 10b? I'm running Windows7 and I don't have the game in the original folder. I made sure that when I installed it I directed it to where the game is actually installed.

If the installer says 10b it's 10b, it was a minor tweak the game reports 10.0. The 10b EXE was modified April ‎8, ‎2016

But what I'm asking is...when you start the game and it shows the version, meaning patch, that you have, if I've installed 10b, shouldn't it show 10b?

NO,,,,,,it just shows 10..........it was an installer update more than a patch update
