If it were a datafile error, I would expect the error to appear earlier... Is it possible that this issue is related to missing AI files?Quote:

So basically you have a complete copy of SEIV files in MODS folder, right ? And still SE hangs on. Strange.Quote:

 What I did today....

I removed anything remotely related to SEIV from my computer (after burning my mods to CD)
 I uninstalled SEIV.

I installed SEIV GOLD from the CD. Version 1.60

I applied the SE4 Patch and nnow have the game at 1.78

I created a mod folder called MODS.

I copied all of the unmodded data into the MODS folder.

I changed my path.txt in the root SEIV folder.

 I launched a game.

When I hit the end turn button after my first turn I get an error message "File Not Found" and the game hangs.

I would appreciate any help whatsoever.

				 Re: HELP! File not found
 kevlord,
We are all kind of just guessing here. Can you be more precise about the error message you are getting? "File not found" is not an error I have ever seen associated with SEIV. Is it "Unable to load blah blah blah..." or something else like that? The precise wording of the error is important.

Does the error show up as a black and blue SEIV window, or does it show up as a grey "windows" type error window. Does it perhaps say which file is not being found?

If it's a black and blue SIEV window the error could be so long that you cannot see the actual file name if your pc display is set to 800x600. If that is the case, set your display to 1024x768 and run up till you get the error again. Hopefully that will allow you to read the entire error message including the file that is missing.

				 Re: HELP! File not found
Try to install the TDM-ModPack and see, if the error still occurs. If not, something is fishy within your MOD-folder. Have a look at the TDM-ModPack and put the folders of your orders exactly where they are in the TDM. I once had a similar problem and I couldn't find the problem for hours: In the end, I didn't put the "races" folder to the right spot and everything went belly up until I moved it were it belonged.

				 Re: HELP! File not found
The error pops up in a windows type window. It has Error as a title and in the window itself it simply says "File Not Found".
Where do I find this TDM-Modpack?

 Kevlord,
Do you by chance have a "History" folder in your Mod folder? If so delete it, that is your problem.
