OT: Video Driver difficulties

I'm trying to use a new driver (found at http://www.omegacorner.com/) but every time I try to start up the Dominions2 demo the game crashes (runs ok on the basic driver). At the above site there is a note saying...

"Important Update:
If you are experiencing crashes or black screens just a few seconds after entering a game, DISABLE VPU RECOVER, that should fix it."

Now this is all well and good but I have no idea how to do this. I can't find any other reference to this on the site and their forums are a nightmare. So I appeal to the Tech-Gurus of the SEIV forums to help me with this conundrum.
