Paying the purchase in advance is the standard when ordering via the Internet, *especially* if you order outside your country. Still, if you did pay and not recieve what you ordered you could contact your credit-card company and cancel the payment. Exactly the reason why I like to order early in a month, that gives me maximum time to check that I do recieve what I have ordered

I never had had any problems when ordering through the Net, even though I have always paid in advance. However Shrapnel made an exception to my expectations for having super-fast service
