Electronic Arts, the massive video game publishing company, has recently acquired Malfador Machinations, a small game developer, renowned in the world of niche games with the Space Empires Series.

Electronic Arts has made a deal with LucasArts to continue development of Space Empires V at LucasArts in-house studios. The game will be developed by the same team that produced the award-winning bestseller "Force Commander".

Malfador's founder, and ex-CEO, Aaron Hall, has not been available for comments. He is currently in the hospital, in a coma resulting from extreme physical trauma - two broken kneecaps, semi-fractured skull, broken shoulders and dislocated feet. Hospital officials stated the injuries were suffered when Mr. Hall fell down the stairs at home and landed on a solid oak table. If he hadn't been taken to the hospital by a pair of muscular EA officials, he would probably have died from his injuries.
