Well possibly losing a turn is a concern. I have cable and the network in our house is completely on an UPS. So, we get about 10 minutes of power and cable (the hub and cable modem plugged into the UPS, too) even if the power goes out...which it did 2 nights ago during an electrical storm. (but sometimes, 10 minutes isn't enough time to finish a turn  )
