If I see that I'm about to loose my Last planets, I decided I'll give all those ships to one of my former enemies, who has stopped attacking me and now have a trade treaty with me, rather than having the ships stolen by intel attacks by an even worse enemy or being lost to maintnace shortage if I loose my planets...

It would propably tip the balance in his favour and give him the victory in this game, but I would see it as a well earned victory as he has played the diplomatic card better than his counterparts...

(I hope someone sees the subtle hint here and starts to make amends...if he want's to keep that little fleet that has irresponsibly found it's way into my territory... )
