Just how hot is the Second Sun?

Second Sun appears to increase the heat around the world. Does anyone know the mechanism? I am looking forward to boosting my income while hurting everyone else�s income, but want to get a feel for how long it will take.

Linked to this, does anyone know how much, if at all, this boosts the Abyisa heat effect?

Any other side effects of interest?
