I think once or twice i might have gotten irradiated planets in FQM Deluxe from creating planets, although maybe i'm mistaken.

You can Terraform Irradiated Planets as well. It will change the atmosphere to breathable. The thing is on Irradiated planets domed planets have more facility space than undomed. Not the kind of Terrafrorming you're after
