Cloaking devices on such ships is a bad idea. Try to remove the cloak and see what happens.

Easy said hard done.
My uncloaked create black hole ships never reach their targets, almost every enemy ship comes after it (it seems that the the AIs knows its abilities and goals).
They are not escorted and easy prey, even a DN full of armor, shields and max movement points.
That is an interesting observation because I have seen AI empires using star destroyers (with stellar nucleonic torpedos) successfully rather frequently. Some of the designs had the cloaking ability, some not. Therefore I don't think the problem is the cloaking but rather the creation of a black hole itself. I never tried to make AI's create black holes (because I think the AI has more difficulties to handle a black hole system than a human player).

Good to know that stellar nucleonic torpedos are handled better by the AI. Will try that.
