No, you are not wrong. That was my point. But I was attempting to give it a bit more of a dramatic flair then, "We came through the warp point and saw your star destroyer sitting on the star. Too late to do anything. Oh well."

Yeah. Not only did it run out of supplies it was using old fashioned engines. They spent to much research points on cargo bays instead of on engines.

Things must be getting really bad; my wife asked me if I quit playing the game. I can't seem to get interested in a fight against the AI.
Can't wait to get back to kicking some Ruathian tail in GC1...
