Re: Global Domination
Dogscoff,
What can you tell me about that part of the UK?
In particular, what local beers are your Favorites?
Yeah, you can tell where my priorities are.

Bournemouth is pretty chic actually, so people tend to drink swanky imported stuff while wearing their sunglasses on the tops of their heads. Get a few miles out of town and you'll find about a million rural pubs full of old men in green wellies with wet labradors on bits of rope, all swigging bitter from Ringwood brewery which is about 10 miles from here. I don't drink bitter but I'm told it's pretty good stuff.

It's pretty cool=-) It's one of the sunniest parts of the country, for a few weeks each summer it gets very comfortably hot. Bournemouth is pretty clean & cosmopolitan, with loads of excellent beaches, bars, restaurants & clubs all in about a 2 mile radius. Plenty of bikini action and late night drinking. It's expensive, but there's no competition: There are no other lively towns/ cities for 30 miles in any direction, and the public transport round here sucks. The road connections are pretty poor, and I wonder if we'll ever get broadband availibility or decent, well known bands or comedy acts 'round here. (there are a few good local bands though: www.pronghorn.co.uk )
Still, Southampton is half an hour away, London is only about 1.5 hours away, Oxford and Bristol about 2, so it's not too hard to escape=-)
Why do you ask? Are you headed this way?
