I was playing this mod also before my computer got zapped. I liked it a lot. My only gripe came from the fact that I had encountered the Borg, and outside of a couple of raids on a barely defended planet, they haven't done much. I was expecting a fleet of ships to come to take over system by system. Not that I was complaining. Any time I don't get assimilated is a good day. But I just thought they would be more aggressive. Maybe the AI needs to be adjusted?
