Re: My Star is going Nova!!!
Jubala is right - if you don't make a note somewhere you'll forget about it. I always thought that should be fixed.
Instead of writing it down, you could right click on the star map (lwr right), a new map will pop up, then you can, I believe lft click on any system and write a note relating to that system.

Re: My Star is going Nova!!!
I also was told my best system was doomed. I loaded a saved game (about 2 turns old) and when i reached Judgment Day this time....no message, no doomed system. It seems that it's a random thing.

Re: My Star is going Nova!!!
Can I just quickly ask something here which seems to be the same sort of thing? I have just been told that a planet of mine has a Core Instability and will destroy itself in one year.
a. this doesn't sound too nice, should I be worried?
b. is there anything I can/should do about it?

Evacuate and run away

The two will hover, spinning inches above the ground. With a giant buttered cat array, a high-speed monorail could easily link New York with Chicago.

Re: My Star is going Nova!!!
If you are sufficently advanced, you may build a ring/sphere world. I believe this negates those effects.
