Re: Plague level for mod
population only, which is the beauty. if you prevent the enemy from curing the pop (or he simply cant) after a while you'll just need to re-colonize the planet yourself and get all the fac's back. WP's remain though.

I think Neutron Bombs are the real beauty. For one, they deplete population much faster than plagues...well, it's all relative. If you're up against a huge, fully populated planet with WPs up the wazoo, you may just have the chance to get in close for one Plague-infecting shot. However, if you get rid of all a planet's defenses, bombarding it with wave after wave of Neutron bombs will really hurt the populace.
Secondly, Neutron bombs are a lot more politically correct in PBW games ...if you Plague an enemy planet, everyone else tends to rally against you. But Neutron Bombs are swift & clean...nobody'll get mad at you for using them...except, of course, whomever you're using them against

Re: Plague level for mod
Taera, I think he meant the damage value of the bomb itself, not the actual plague it creates. I am not sure what type of damage that is, but I think it is just normal damage.

Yes that's what I meant.
I would have hope it was Population only as well, more logical.

Re: Plague level for mod
And it's also a pity you can't put plague bombs on drones. Would finally be a nice use of these things (and quite horrific also...)

Just put them on a very small ship. Sure, you're paying maintenance, but it will be useful for more than one hit.
Why would they be better on Drones?

"Why would they be better on Drones?"
Because you except to loose drones..and drones can be built anywhere. They also get intrinsic defense and speed bonuses.
