Just imagine the kind of resources you could be pulling in if you formed that into a planet and filled it with monoliths!

No maintenance, and you don't deplete the value each turn.

Me watches sadly as the poor, defenseless asteroids are strip mined by the heartless machinery of the starbase

Is that in a Finite game? or do the asteroids lower the percentage because of mining? If that is the case, then making planets out of them would be an option, if I can wait that long.

Asteroids do deplete in value when you mine them, even in Infinite games. I always thought that was kind of silly.

I wanted to be a true capitalist, I wanted to exploit them asteroids for everything I could squeeze out of them, and NOW I find that the GODs play an evil trick on me

HAHA, I don't know if that is a compliment or not. If not, I bet you would consider it explotion when I change all my planet atmospheres to Methane since that is what I breath

muhahaha, if I could get a remote atsmophere converter, I would make a fleet of them and change the universe to my needs. Better buy stocks in Dome manufacturing

You CAN disable that in Settings.txt (I do). Not sure if you can do it mid-game though. Can someone back me up on that?
