Re: Reinstalling SEIV
What serial number? I got a manual and a paper cd sleeve with the CD.
There was no serial number and I can't remember being asked for one on installation.
You sure you're talking about SE4? SE3 required a registration number.

Re: Reinstalling SEIV
This smells like a previous post "don't send seIV.exe,...."
but just on the of chance that someone could forget that there never was a serial number in 3 months,... previous Posts tell you what to do with range check errors and how to solve them.
(log on as the computer oppopnent and play their turn for them, and don't forget to get latest patch)

Re: Reinstalling SEIV
No Serial #? I thought there was a little slip of paper, or something, cool. I should be fine then.
btw, Many answers to questions posted here start with "previous Posts..."; Has anyone started a FAQ yet?

Re: Reinstalling SEIV
I don't recall having a range check error during game play recently, only access violations. At start, during game initialization - placing players, I often get range check or access violation errors. I'm playing with Mod Pack 1.50, 250 planets, and the extended planet name list from Emp Zodd (also countless other personal edits and undoes).

Re: Reinstalling SEIV
yeah, sometimes when ya change something , the game has a hissy fit 'cause that change is outside it's default values.
