CS was, and is crap. Inudated with cheaters it became one of the worst multiplayer gamers on line with the netorious reputation rout by the cheaters.
The funny thing is, Tribes had the better of the two for locating and logging onto servers. Tribes system was, and amazingly still is decades ahead of anything HL or clones have ever come up with. Why is that?
Tribes held the title of most popular MP game for over three years, with nearly 48,000 servers on line at one time. Even by todays standards, it is still going strong. To hell with CS and any one who thinks it was the standard for MP FPS, because it was not.

i have found team fortress to be generally better as far as cheating and fun goes. where else can you use a chaingun?
