It might be a memory issue. When was the Last time you did a cold boot of your computer? As used here, cold boot = turn computer off, wait 20 seconds, turn computer on. A lot of Windows programs have memory leaks, and that could cause the problem you are observing. A cold boot should fix it temporarily, if it is caused by memory leaks. Cold boot this AM, Dumped Temp files, will log and try a cold reboot..will let you know, thanks Nope reboot did not help still looking

OK, I've reinstalled IE and still have the same problem, is there any place that the graphics might be turned off???

Yes, go to Tools menu, Internet Options, Advanced tab. In the 'Multimedia' section there are options that control display of images, playing of sounds, etc. Check the settings there.

everything but radio bar clicked, still no go..... another thing is the PBW site the background is white not black like it was

Have you tried the buttons on the bottom of the internet options window (color, fonts...)?
