It is possible that installing MyIE2 changed that security setting. It uses the same registry entries as IE for some of its settings (those that are also present in IE).

Is a possablity that it overwrote the bad file (?) and fixed the whole thing..but I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth (they BITE!)

IMO MyIE2 is better than IE, while maintaining the same fundamental appearance and functionality.
