Re: OT - Fog Screen
We're getting a 3d projector next week at my work, it will produce 3d images in free air.
I don't know much about it as it's in our research department and we have just started that up. But I've been told it shall be possible to walk around it and view it from all angles.
I work at the radiology department at a university hospital.
It will be demonstrated on a fair here in two days (thursday, today thuesday) but I'm working then.
CMIV is what we call our radiology research part:

These are some sites I found on the net, I'm not sure what we will get, I haven't loked into it as I've had other things to do.

Re: OT - Fog Screen
At the same time I am in awe in face a new toy I would like to play with, but....
did anyone read an old SF classic, Farenheight 451 from Ray Bradbury ? I yes, then maybe you'll recognize the TV walls that were described in it. Which makes me a bit uneasy !
Gosh, I must be getting older...

Re: OT - Fog Screen
Yeah, I read it too, but a long time ago. Not a huge Bradbury fan...

Ruatha:
Do try and find the model so we can look it up, and be sure to tell some stories about how it looks in action!
I wonder when movie theaters & companies will start making holographic films...
Having the tall people in front of you walking around would be even more annoying than when they just sit though...

Re: OT - Fog Screen
Movie theaters might change their layouts to one resembling stadiums.
You might watch the same movie several times to literally see it from all sides.
