Check out www.openoffice.org . It is a good free, open source alternative to MS Office (and all those other office suites that are still in business). It has a Version of Word, Excel, Power Point, and Word Art (or whatever that MS Office crap graphics program is). It can save files into and from all standard (and many non-standard) file formats, including Mac, MS, and others. Oh, and it is a heck of a lot smaller than MS Office to boot, with all the same functionality.  And unlike some office suites, it won't make you sell your firstborn to use it...
