Anyone still play SEIV Gold unmodded?

Since I am still learning SEIV, can you guys give me a feel for what playing with the TDM mod is like? I have only been playing it unmodded except for shipsets so far.

TDM plays just like stock SE4, as there are no modded data files (other than the formations file). It just has much more competent AIs.

You can play SE IV Gold un-modded? OMG.... The concept of it all.

I prefer unmodded PBW games, but seldom play single player Version of unmodded SEIV. I use all of the races though, as they are great.
