Tech "trading" question

For #2, you will get Phased Energy Weapons 5. You never get prerequisite techs from analyzing a ship, only direct techs required for the component. If you do not have physics and you analyze a ship with PPB I, you will get Phased Energy Weapons 1, but will be unable to research any higher until you acquire Physics.

If not already done, I would recomend asking the host and the other players if ship trading/analysing are OK. Some players will assume it is cheating in a no tech trade game, unless it is specifically allowed.

Well in this game whatever is not disabled is allowed... something that can be done legaly in a game CANNOT be considered cheating. Its only smart playing

and besides everyone is doing it so...lol.
