I have about 256k line and I pay 29 euro of it. The speed varies because it is shared among every line in our apartment house and if there are less people Online, the line is then faster. And this is in Finland also.

I'm paying about $41,000 a year for download speeds of about 1Mbps on average (limit 1.5GB transfer in an hour, or 10GB in a day, exceed that and you're cut off). That includes tuition, room, board, lab fees, books, access to alumni, etc.

And at home, can only get dialup. Whenever I see broadband advertised, it's usually in the $20-$40 a month range, for a max 100kbps DSL line (which from what I hear, usually only hit the 100kbps max at around 4am, when nobody else is using it).
