Forgot about the prophit... actually I didn't but for some reason I thought you needed a temple to make him...
And why wouldn't a god build temples for himself? It seems perfectly consistant for anyone who thinks of themselves as god, to want to build shrines for themselves... not that I've ever *worshiped* at any of the shrines I've built...
Originally posted by Pocus: I suppose that building a temple is not only building the masonry of it. It is also how to create and organize the clergy which comes with. This is why you need a priest, and not just Joe the commander.
And Gods dont worships themselves (and dont even exists - in dominions anyway - if nobody believe in them). So they wont create a temple for themselves too.
But as others said, there is several solution even if you had no initial priest available.
Well, now that I know that creating a prophet will get me someone who can build a temple, sure
I still say it's a little wonky though, I mean, at the start of the game you have a temple but no priest. So how'd it get there, huh?
Heh, anyway, I'm starting to get a better feel for the game and how to at least not flounder about entirely uselessly. Now it's time to look around a bit and find "helpful newbie tips for success."
