Hmmm Ive avoided IRC for a long time because it was so unsecure. I suppose alot of that is fixed by now (and gotten worse in other areas I suppose). Anyway Im debating, maybe, popping up an IRC server on my ISP machine.
IRC Users maybe can tell me. Would switching to a server just for dominions be no big deal? Or is this something where you would rather have just one server, and have it offer a dominions channel?

It may well be. I am behind a router/firewall. However, as I mentioned, I've not changed anything on my end since the very first time I connected and played you (and navrunner, et. al.) in a game. So unless they've monkeyed with the servers in the past week or so ...  |

I say we either let Gandalf make a server or we switch the server we play on completely. irc.gamesurge.net has never caused me problems.

Well, that one, irc.gamesurge.net, appears to be working for me where all the others can't resolve host name. So at least firewall is eliminated as a possible problem.

Works for me, too. That pretty much indicates that the problem is with something they've recently done to the IRCnet servers. |
