Re: If you wish upon a star.....
There are quite a few, search the forum and you'll find them.
I think I remember :
Might
Provinces
Gold
Gems
Death
the name of any unit : Sea Troll, Tarrasque, Militia
Blood Slaves
And I am sure there are more...

Try "Blood slave" once, without the final s, for a change.

Try "Blood slave" once, without the final s, for a change. Let me guess. I know the creator of the game have a sense of humor, so... it makes your Pretender a blood slave ?
While I am at it, I have not tried it, but I guess Victory, if it works at all, would grant victory to a randomly chosen pretender?

Let me guess. I know the creator of the game have a sense of humor, so... it makes your Pretender a blood slave ? No, but instead of filling your lab with fresh sacrificial blood, it gives you a new unit. Probably the best cost/efficiency ratio you can achieve for a summoned monster - close to infinite.

Re: If you wish upon a star.....
You can wish for any monster or any magic item, including those which cannot be forged and artifacts which already exist.
You can also wish for Armageddon. "Magic power" is another nice one, especially if you already have a ring of wizardry; it gives +1 on all eight magic paths up to a base of 10. ('regular' power wishes -- +50 hp, +20 str, +10 att, +10 def, +10 prec, non-cumulative; hp bonus is affected by GoH).
If you're starving, you could wish for supplies; if you need militia, you can wish for that.
