Hmm... the lowest event frequency would be Order +3, Luck 0 isn't it?
I have always understand it as Order decrease frequency by 5% each step, whereas Chaos increase frequency by 5% each step. However, both luck & misfortune increase frequency by 5% a step. Have I been wrong all these times o_O?

Re: Common, Rare events.
Gateway, you are right, but luck decreases the chance of BAD events happening, which is the point here if I'm correct...

Re: Common, Rare events.
The point there is that Rare Events unbalance the Fortune/Misfortune scale, so Pretenders can easily achieve points by taking Misfortune.
Well I however believe that 40 points for 1 scale point is too much ... or at least the effect is too low...

I just thought that fortune/misfortune does not affect the frequency (according to the manual), or has that been changed in a patch? If not, then that might be good suggestion!
(But I also seem to recall that the frequency was intentionally decoupled from the luck scale since Dom1...Must have been some thread here...?)
Anyway, what I really wanted to say is:
I usually take order+3 and luck+1. Doesnt benefit? Sure, but bad events tend to lower my morale considerably and I think its just worth these 40 points to keep my spirits up! Didn't we all learn by playing this game that morale is really important?!?!

Re: Common, Rare events.
Why would luck/misfortune effect frequency? doesnt make sense. It seems like everyone wants less events, and now that scale is worthless as most will leave it balanced.

Re: Common, Rare events.
I want events.
They're something that can change your strategy, and make it not so mathematical.
Revolts, barbarians hordes, enexpected allies or efficient governorns and so on are facts common to a medieval fantasy world.
