I agree with Arrlen. I have no hard evidence but I've been playing Caelum a lot lately and had cause to get my black hawks into the fight with some frequency. Seems like they inflict the "lost an eye" wound more often than I would expect.

I think this is a myth. Lost eyes are one of the more common afflictions, regardless of what's inflicting them. Odds are generally pretty good that the first affliction a unit sustains will be "lost an eye".
If you're referring to the game where I beaten you, my Virtue had Eye Shield.
