that is right, it shouldn't convert those ship, but in some cases it did, that was the bug, and that's fixed now.

I wish the master computer could be changed to only replace the bridge and life support. Somehow I have a hard time figuring out where all my pilots live on my master computer equipped carrier  |

They sleep in the cockpits. One thousand tons is more than enough mass for a pilot, his bed, life support, a bathroom, a small kitchen, a big-screen TV with surround sound, and a rack for lots of porn DVDs.
If anyone asks about the porn, the pilot uses them to practice his joystick skills.
