A bard or two also works very well with large quantities of Tuatha or Sidhe Lords spamming lightning bolts.

The Tuatha and Sidhe Lords should _not_ be looked at as cavalry commanders, Valent, but as very damn good mages with great combat ability.

You could also go for a decent blessing. Fire 9 works wonders, as your sidhe are now capable of hurting heavy armored opponents.

Water 9 is also a great but more expensive option as all your mages except the bard are sacred.

You could try to take both Water 9 and Fire 9 to make your normal sidhe infantry nearly invincible, but this will seriously hurt you economy, as you cant take drain scale.

I suggest you take a fire 9 moloch for the beginning

you have no astral gem income as man .
so you would need when converting gems 50 gems per accashic record .
+ since none of your national mages has it you need to take it on your pretender .
that's inefficient for man .
pythium / arco / ryhleh have astral gem income from the start and they have Astral 3 mages so for them it is easy but for man not .
