Boots of the planes = worthless?

You are forgeting the fact that boots give thier owner the Horror mark Cohen. You might be safer killing helpless SCs with your own banelord/SC, who was was specificaly equiped to deal with them, than with you little priest or mage attracting attention of horrors, in which case you'll lose both commander and great unique artifact.

I would take SC-killing duty anyday, while wielding Magebane, rather than haveing to face Horrors with single priest over the boots which are too big for him to fill...
