Re: OT (Poll) - LOVE
Deep poll. Very deep.
General Woundwort, I am not far behind you. Heard the same lines and until recently had mostly the same results. Now that I have found someone that actually wants to spend time with me there are things just some differences and issues that make me very hesitant to presue things any farther and I wonder if maybe I was better off with lots of female friends if no one significant.

Yet, perhaps one day.....
(to steal a line from General Woundwort if he will permit this one time)
Yet feet that wandering have gone
Turn at Last to home afar.
Eyes that fire and sword have seen
And horror in the halls of stone
Look at Last on meadows green
And trees and hills they long have known

Re: OT (Poll) - LOVE
Yes, it's a deep subject and it's one that most every human being seeks in life. Some find it. Some never do. Some thought they had it and then decide they don't. Some missed the chance of a lifetime.
This wonderful thing called love is worth pursuing (to sound a bit corny...wink). Thing is, though it may seem to be a "Brown Mountain light" (you guys living outside of North Carolina, USA, will have to look that one up...grin), you may turn around some day and find what you are looking for.

Re: OT (Poll) - LOVE
My parents have been together 30 some years and it's easy to see the're happy together, any time they talk about it.

I think it's nice that children can see that their parents love each other. However, sometimes, when I'm hugging my wife in the kitchen, our daughter makes a remark. I always say, "Would you rather us argue?" It always gets a "no" answer (smile).

Re: OT (Poll) - LOVE
My wife and I have been married for 28 years, to those of you just starting...it is not easy it will take the two of you to make it work, it is normal (?) to think "What IF" as long as you do not act on it! no matter how much "In Love" the two of you are THAT WILL kill it off.
HEY Promoted!!!!

Re: OT (Poll) - LOVE
I've been married to my "first" wife for 24+ years. Read into that what you will.

Re: OT (Poll) - LOVE
Didn't know there were that many of us married guys out here. Surprising considering our "habit"

Re: OT (Poll) - LOVE
Ten years for my wife and I and it does take constant maintenance.
I faced the “what if” about three years ago, it only got as far as one kiss (I didn’t initiate the kiss she did) but at that very moment I realized that my wife was the only woman who loved me the way a person should be loved. The truth is no matter how much you love someone you will continue to look at others so don’t feel guilty. Just try to remember that one night of sex will never justify destroying years of love.

Re: OT (Poll) - LOVE
Amen, PES. I think it's wonderful your wife has stayed with you through all those political years even though you've never attained office yet .
