I just checked this mod launcher out, and I must say "Nice Work!"

You should submit this to Aaron to be added into the next patch.

Also, I can not wait to try out your Mod Editor. Do you have plans on making a component editor as well?

Atrocities : Thanks... and the 'Mod Editor' will be an "All-In-One-Over-The-Top" editor
i.e. components, facilities, planets, shipsizes
anything you can mod should be in there.
maybe not AI for a while cos I've no idea how the AI works.

Nobody does.

But seriously, a simple text editing interface for the AI_general.txt file would be a good start and should be fairly easy to do. (He says, since he isn't the one doing it. )

What would be really nice is if it would cross-reference the settings.txt and RacialTraits.txt and tell me if the characteristics and values I have selected are over the 2000,3000,5000 point limits for the "Race Opt 1(,2, and 3) Characteristic" lines in the AI_general.txt file.

The other AI files are beyond me so someone else should comment there.

I think when I get a feel for how the AI file format should be I'll make it the same format as the rest of the editor.

Ok
V1.7 of my Mod Selection Utility is now finished

On a slightly different note, we may be seeing it in future SE4 patches

Here is an excerpt from an e-mail Aaron sent me :-
