Re: MP Game - European War
I guess it is.
Had the game gone on, I think it would have been C'tis'. I think we could have an interesting discussion over the relative usefulness of late game Death gems vs. all others.
I for one think Tartarian Gate should simply be removed from the game. [Dons flame-proof suit]. In a game about Pretenders, being able to chain-summon Pretender-class units just doesn't make much sense.

I think I agree here too death gems are good There's no hoarding method to get them though. So their usefullness is somewhat balanced by difficulty of obtaining them. And Well of Misery didn't have to stay that long. Can you say wonders of C'tis diplomacy?

Tartarian Gate or Gift of Reason? Non-commander tartarians are not that dangerous. In another game I played, which lasted into the late game, Tartarians were the weapon of choice for everybody. Funny thing was a Wish-wars for The Chalice

Re: MP Game - European War
I agree, C'tis was in an excellent position to win. Had Zen not dropped out though, that might have gone differently. He was a much more dangerous neighbor for alexti than I was. Especially after Caelum and Marignon attacked me. There was no way I could be anything but friendly to C'tis after that.
I figured I was doomed from the start since I was right in the middle of the map and everyone would hate having me as a neighbor. I'm just pleased that when the attacks finally came, I didn't get completely steamrolled.
Getting the Soulstone of the Wolves off of some AI Pangaean troops was fun. Marignon in particular seemed to be having trouble dealing with my Calls of the Wild.

Killing off your wolves was a nice change from all the undead. It's a pity the game stopped, I was just getting my summoned troops moving and getting the hang of Caelum. Still.. I agree the C'tis is the most likely winner.

Re: MP Game - European War
Yeah, I noticed that Caelum had some high quality troops headed my way. What was that, a Fire King and a bunch of Air Elementals and an Air Queen and a bunch of some other nasty critter... I forget. Anyway I was not happy to see them show up on my borders after I finally rid myself of most of your weaker troops.

There was a 50% conjuration site in Sahara, so I had a bit of everything. Water Queens, Air Queens, Fire Kings and a load of Vine Ogres, Elementals, Undead Cavalry, Mechanical Men and so on - and more on their way. My problem was that I had to teach most of them to swim before they could get to Italy ;-)
btw. I'm hoping my carpet bombing with Fires from the Sky made some impression too.

Re: MP Game - European War
A 50% conjuration site? Man if I'd had one of those...
I assumed that the Fires were Marignon's doing. They killed a few hundred of my longdeads etc., but I don't know that they would have done me much good against your armies anyway.
