The thing is we all just love to talk about this game even if the topics are old.

There is nothing like swapping good strategies every once in while with new members. Besides it helps us all out from time to time.

What are the hot key's again for return carage in the game log window?

I don't think we'll ever know for sure if it was intentional, but it's really no trick. You see, us older guys remember the primitive days of computers. CTRL-M has always been the ASCII code for a carriage return. I'm glad those days of sending individual print commands to the screen/printer (and later modem) are looong gone.

...Er, when was the dubious strategy guide last updated? I've only just started browsing it but it seems to be woefully out of date, with no disclaimers thus far about the info being old.
