That won't necessarily work either, if a minesweeper starts its turn in an enemy minefield, it won't do any sweeping, even if you give it the minesweeping order. If it leaves and reenters, it probably will be destroyed unless it can sweep all of the mines at once.

Are you sure about that Last part? Sweeping the sector you're already in is supposedly what the minesweeping order is for.

I've tested it. When you hit the minesweeping button, it does not even register as an order when you go check what orders have been issued.

Oh, I've had fun with this bug. And I raised it on the Boards a few months ago...

Finding this out the hard way just about ruined a 3 month long PBEM game for me.

Just wait until you try and launch fighters. Nice to know your carriers won't work now either.

This darn thing needs to be fixed.
